Ada graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in Feminist, Gender and Sexuality Studies and Hispanic Literatures and Cultures. At Wesleyan, she worked as an abortion doula and directed the Wesleyan Doula Project. Upon graduating, she served as a care coordinator and research assistant at The Motherhood Center of New York, a treatment center for people experiencing Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs). Her interests lie at the intersection of reproductive health and mental health, specifically in the perinatal period and menopause. Ada is currently a first-year PhD student in Clinical Psychology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where she studies maternal depression and its impact on parenting, attachment and child development.
